The end of our trip was spent up North in the very fast paced Hanoi. Our good friend Tracy Simmon’s family is from this area and gave us great recommendations. Her family has a great restaurant in San Francisco based on the Northern Vietnamese style cuisine, check them out here: My Father’s Kitchen

We started really getting into the Vietnamese culture in Hoi’An. The first shot is a Bahn Mi sandwich from the stand they went to in no reservations. It was incredible, and like 60 cents.

What a way to start our Vietnam adventures; relaxing on the beach, riding a motorbike up the coast, and eating incredible food.

Bess met me in Asia after a work trip where we started with a couple days in Hong Kong before heading over to Vietnam.
